How long is the waiting list?

Because we prioritize group matches, our availability for groups often depends on which other kids we have in groups that your child would match with, or on the waiting list to build a new group. Sometimes kids get in right away, other times they may wait two years or more for the right group matches.    

Do you need a diagnosis to attend?

No diagnosis is required to attend groups. Many of our kids have diagnoses such as Autism, giftedness, ADHD, ADD, etc. and others have no diagnosis, they just want to feel more confident in group settings or struggle in some way.

How do we build the groups?

We are extremely picky and intentional about how we build our groups. We interview kids before starting groups so ensure that all group members learn at a similar pace, have similar goals and needs, etc.

What do we work on in groups?

Honestly it depends! Different groups need to work on different things! We do informal assessments and then reassess and tweak our goals all the time to make sure that kids are getting back they need.  Examples of what we work on includes: identifying potential friends, building and maintaining friendships, understanding intentions of others and how to ‘read them’, how to be part of a group, how to problem solve and self-advocate, how to recognize and manage feelings, etc.

How many kids are typically in a group?

Groups vary between 3 and 6 kids depending on the energy level, age, and abilities of our students.  Typically, younger groups are a maximum of 4 kids while sometimes our teens prefer larger groups of 5 or 6.

How old does my child need to be?

We see kids as young as 4 and as old as 55.

Is my child a good fit?

How much does it cost?

Groups: $135 per hour

High Support Groups: $160 per hour 

Individual sessions and team meetings: $160 per hour
